About Us

The mission of Home Energy Team is to improve the energy efficiency of America's homes by training, consulting and supporting a nationwide alliance of home energy auditors and their cooperating certified home energy contractors. Our website is a community of energy auditors and contractors who have come together to assist and support homeowners in helping them solve energy related issues. All these auditors and contractors are independent and have all the necessary licensing, insurance and accreditations to perform the work required. Homeowners benefit by having a one stop shop to perform energy audits - delivered with the highest integrity - and reputable contractors to assist in implementing their recommendations.

We were unaware of what was involved in an energy audit and your audior took the time to explain everything. We were impressed with the report which told us the areas in which we need to take action on. He never pressured us to use any particular contractors, he just suggested that we go to the HomeEnergyTeam web site to select contractors of our own choice.
